This ring is part of.a movement I’m doing "RealBrilliance.org" and I thought you'd be an amazing steward. Its goal is to platform the more rare and more brilliant, more sustainable, less expensive gemstone Moisainite over diamond.
Diamonds have become a well-known psy op but their dominance reigns without a counter narrative.
Moisanite IS the better stone, passes 99% of diamond testers, but because its so much less expensive and a lack of market education its not widespread.

IRS Gift Ruling
For a ring (or any benefit) given as part of a donation to not reduce the tax deduction, it must qualify as "insubstantial" according to IRS guidelines. Here’s how this works:

1. Insubstantial Benefits Rule

  • The value of the benefit (the ring, in this case) must be considered "insubstantial" in comparison to the donation amount.
The IRS defines insubstantial benefits as follows:
  • If the donation is $62.50 or more (2024 threshold), the value of the benefit must be the lesser of 2% of the donation or $125 to be considered insubstantial.

2. Examples

  • If a donor gives $20,000:
    • 2% of $20,000 = $400
    • The benefit (ring) must be valued at $125 or less for it to be considered insubstantial and not reduce the tax deduction.

3. Token Items Exception

  • Alternatively, if the benefit is a token item (e.g., a keychain or pin with the charity's logo), and its cost is $14 or less per item (2024 threshold), it is automatically considered insubstantial.

Conclusion

If the ring is valued above $125 for a $20,000 donation, it will reduce the tax-deductible portion of the donation. If you want the donation to remain fully deductible, the ring must have a value no greater than $125. For higher-value items, the donor's deduction is reduced by the fair market value of the ring.

This is a problem of our culture, of viewing this type of mentality as "favorable" and "higher status". If we change what higher status is, we change behavior.
The ultrarich was to be seen as helpful, but also want to keep their financial influencer as large and growing thus they turn towards impactful investing.
 
There is a surplus of resources on this earth, but instead of the surplus going into redistribution, it is pushed into filing our ego’s needs.

But we are status seeking not money seeking.

Are we really surprised that we have so many billionaires and multi-millionaires when we are status seeking monkeys who predicate our view of status on financial wealth.
It is only within our subcultures, our communities where this status breaks down and becomes not how much we have, but how much we do for others.
The greatest cause in the world is to cause a natural organic change in the distribution of wealth to the people who deserve it. There are too many bright minds and kind hearts who don’t have enough to even support themselves to push forward their ideas for humanity.

The spiritual failure mode of profit maximization is the undercurrent problem. I have a very very very solid idea to fixing this.
While also enabling charities to get more funding, and “patching” our cultural/spiritual failure mode.
(Alot of the failure of the “We” at the top is that they are simply playing the status game, and thus one could blame the status game for not being aligned.)
I was just at an event In Dorado Puerto Rico last night with Train and Flo Rida booked for a private party. To get in you made a donation to the charity, but the collective donation at the end of the night was less than half of either one of their booking costs.
Celebs/Influencers have a lot of pull over wealthy circles, and clearly influence over the world at large I mean its in the name.
One could assume if we “enlighten” them to bring more awearness (spelled wrong correctly you’ll see) to the value of doing good then we can shift global consciousness.
But that type of pie in the sky dreaming isn’t going to do much… Luckily I dont think we actually need to enlighten them or anyone,
I think we need to introduce this truth that we understand to the market more effectively.
The truth that we all understand here is that “Good Deeds” is higher status than “Balenciaga or Prada or Gucci.
Yet many powerful people have no easy way to wear / flex their deeds. So they resort to the shortest path towards status, these vanity goods.
The solution is introducing DESIGNER CHARITY goods to the market.
Meaning brands that are expensive $1,000 to $500,000 from clothes, rings, to watches where the surplus charge goes towards a specific cause.
Influencers will be quick to on-board as they are super PR oriented, and I believe at a certain point it will become cancelable to wear designer that is pure vanity when enough people recognize the much better alternative movement to meaningful clout.

An “Atlantian” bag the same price of a LV could directly correlate to removing 1,000 Lbs of trash from the ocean.
Imagine the LV owner asking the Atlantian owner about her purse, it’s clear that the LV bag’s darkness gets brought to light. Last Year Bernard Arnault was the richest man on the planet owning LVMH, this is a massive industry and the second order effects of redesigning global status is the greatest awearness and shift in consciousness on a cultural level I could imagine.
