Most companies do not have statements of ethics, which funnily enough places them under less ethical scrutiny since they do not “start the discussion” but we believe in setting a positive example for all companies that will impact the world and our future especially with the use of Ai.
As Spartan AI is under the head organization that seeks funding not for yachts, hookers, or cocaine and instead to power our Effective Altruist goals we of course see the act of capital accumulation as important.
However, we want to make sure in all of our methods to disrupt the world, that we disrupt it towards a better path, so when the idea came up for creating an army of bots on the web we had a long internal discussion about the ethical regards of this.
We agreed on a few points that made us want to move forward.
- There will be no porn, or disempowering things promoted / sold even as affiliates.
- The bot will only use positivity and not fear to convert.
- If a new profile with a new name and face must be made it will be done with random generators.
- No recipient will be excessively spammed.
We also take note that the sooner we “abuse” this model for positivity, the sooner it will be patched by major platforms. Thus restricting malevolent actors.
